Cultivating Change from the Ground Up

Founded in 2018, The Lakin Lavender Project is a unique, nature-based recently program at the Lakin Correctional Center. What begins as a collaboration between state agencies and private partners has blossomed into a thriving two-acre farm and a transformative journey for the women involved.

We believe that growth—much like lavender—requires the right environment, patient care, and a community that refuses to give up on it.

Our mission is to foster a sense of community and accountability that extends far beyond the harvest. By the time our participants return home, they aren’t just leaving with a resume—they’re leaving with the resilience to thrive.
